Dalian's battery flow is modest: Dalian MSA recorded 885 TEU of lithium battery exports in the first four months of 2025, and Liaoning's first export under JT/T 1543 left Dayaowan on 4 May 2025. Carriers should refuse batteries that fail JT/T 1543, and a thin flow leaves fewer alternative sailings when a booking is turned down.
What Anxin does: We check JT/T 1543 conformity evidence with the manufacturer before booking and confirm the carrier's acceptance of the UN numbers in writing.

Sea fog off Dalian, April to July
Sea fog is one of the main marine hazards of the Yellow and Bohai Seas according to the China Meteorological Administration, concentrated between April and July and with a serious effect on shipping. A vessel held at anchor by fog can arrive late enough to push a box beyond the sailing its documents name.
What Anxin does: In the fog season we avoid tight stuffing-to-cut-off gaps and keep the filing data ready to amend if the vessel changes.

No way to reach Sokhna without the Red Sea
Unlike cargo for Europe, a container for Sokhna cannot avoid the Red Sea. The drawn corridor enters through Bab-el-Mandeb; the only alternative is the long way round Africa and back south through the Suez Canal. In September 2026 the Houthis attacked targets in southern Saudi Arabia, including Aramco facilities at the Red Sea port of Jazan, and described a 'maritime embargo' on Saudi Arabia. Ships still transit Bab-el-Mandeb when contracts justify it, but container lines are selective.
What Anxin does: We ask each carrier how it currently reaches Sokhna (through Bab-el-Mandeb on the same vessel, via a transhipment hub, or from the north via Suez) and name that routing, and any war-risk or emergency surcharge the carrier applies, in the written quote.
- Import country
The ACID number has to exist before sailing
For Sokhna, the 19-digit ACID number is generated by the Egyptian importer on Nafeza before departure and printed on the bill of lading and every other shipping document. Egyptian Customs does not let cargo without one be unloaded; it is sent back at the carrier's cost.
What Anxin does: We do not release a booking for Sokhna until the importer has sent the ACID number, and we check it appears on the bill of lading draft, invoice and packing list.

CargoX uploads 48 hours before arrival
Egypt puts part of the clearance work on the Chinese exporter: a verified CargoX account and, for sea cargo, invoice, bill of lading, packing list and certificate of origin uploaded at least 48 hours before the ship reaches Sokhna.
What Anxin does: We check with the shipper in Dalian that its CargoX account is verified before booking, and remind it to upload the document set as soon as the bill of lading is issued.
