  1. Origin port

    Spring fog season from April to July

    The China Meteorological Administration describes sea fog as a major marine hazard in the Yellow and Bohai Seas, with the season mainly from April to July, seriously affecting sea transport. Fog holds keep vessels at anchor, and a late vessel can push the box past its documented sailing.

    What Anxin does: In the fog season we avoid tight stuffing-to-cut-off gaps and keep the filing data ready to amend if the vessel changes.

  2. Sea corridor

    The inbound leg's emissions now count under EU ETS

    Because Salerno is an EU port, container ships of 5,000 GT or more calling there fall under the EU Emissions Trading System, which covers half the emissions of the voyage from China. Lines surrendered allowances for 70% of those emissions in 2025 and must cover 100% from 2027, a cost that can reach shippers as a surcharge.

    What Anxin does: We ask for the emissions surcharge to be shown as its own line in the quote, with the basis the carrier uses, so that successive quotes can be compared like for like.

  3. Import country

    Registro pile: a representative in Italy for foreign producers

    Italy's battery producer register is run by the Chambers of Commerce at registropile.it, and registration must be in place before the producer starts operating in Italy. A producer based abroad registers through its own Italian representative, at that representative's Chamber of Commerce, with a digital signature. Membership of a national collective or individual scheme is a condition of the filing.

    What Anxin does: We ask the Italian importer who files as producer and for the register number, since a Chinese manufacturer cannot sign the Italian filing itself.

  4. Import country

    The truck leg out of Salerno runs under ADR

    Road delivery from Salerno is an ADR movement, because the EU applies ADR to domestic journeys through Directive 2008/68/EC. For UN 3480 that means class 9, transport category 2 and tunnel code (E), which restricts the route through category E tunnels; batteries found damaged at unloading move to special provision 376 packing (P908 or P911).

    What Anxin does: We give the Italy haulier the same UN number, class and package details that appear on the sea dangerous goods declaration, so the ADR transport document matches the container paperwork from Dalian.

  5. Import country

    Instructions and safety information in the language of Italy

    Importers must make sure batteries come with instructions and safety information in a language end-users in Italy easily understand, as that Member State decides. Printed inserts and carton text are far easier to change before the goods are packed in China.

    What Anxin does: We ask the importer which language Italy requires and check carton and insert photos against it before loading.
